Residential underground car parks: innovation that works for your budget!

Residential underground car parks: innovation that works for your budget!

Timers have long been the preferred system for activating ventilation in residential underground car parks. Why? Very low installation costs and simple operation. In practice, however, timer-controlled ventilation has significant limitations.

Although very inexpensive to install, it completely ignores external factors. A timer makes no distinction and requires fans to work just as hard whether a car park is empty or full. If pollution occurs outside the scheduled time slots, no action is taken to maintain good air quality in the car park.

The system's rigidity creates significant fixed costs. Fan consumption is measured in kW/h, or even tens of kW/h. With fans running on a timer for two to four hours a day, the bill can be substantial and will be passed on through building service charges.

Finally, this solution requires ventilation to start up to three times a day, generating significant noise for car park users and nearby residents. Even when correctly designed and positioned, car park extractor exhaust ducts generate noise for residents.

Given these many limitations, it is time to adopt an alternative to timer control.

The ideal solution? Ventilation controlled by pollution detection in underground car parks.

Hesion's Hesion Sense system consists of a digital control panel and a set of smart connected detectors. The Hesion Sense solution detects pollutant gases in residential underground car parks and activates ventilation only when it is genuinely needed.

The control panel communicates in real time with each detector, equipped with a sensor suited to the toxic gases concerned.

Our extensive range of control panels (200, 400, 600) can accommodate the size and use of any car park.

Hesion designs, manufactures… and installs. Our technicians are trained to install our systems. Before installation, we determine the location of each detector to ensure optimal coverage while minimising the number of detectors required. We can therefore offer you a « turnkey » solution for your residential car parks.

Your investment pays for itself within a few months through the savings achieved. Residents will no longer complain about noise disturbance. You will also extend the life of your ventilation system while ensuring healthy air.

Testimonial

« The noise from our ventilation system seemed difficult to resolve. Hesion, a company we had not previously known, proposed a solution that activates ventilation only when gases build up. It was exactly what we needed. Today, this solution even exceeds our expectations, as it also reduces our electricity consumption.»
