Air quality: our project with Le Polygone in Montpellier

As part of the project to upgrade parking management at Le Polygone shopping centre in Montpellier, Hesion is helping implement a new approach to air quality management. Here is a closer look at this ongoing collaboration.

What is Le Polygone?

Le Polygone is a French shopping centre in the heart of Montpellier.

The building has a car park with 2000 parking spaces across 4 levels, currently being refurbished to improve comfort and ease of use.

Hesion: tailored technology for car park management

Hesion, a specialist in parking solutions, was approached by Eiffage Energie to help implement innovative air quality control technologies. These provide the flexibility needed to deliver this type of project.

The work is being carried out in four short phases. Each parking level will be closed to the public in turn, without affecting users or property on the other levels.

For each phase, we will deliver a parking level combining our direct detection solutions with our ventilation management system. This will ensure precise air quality control with minimal, controlled energy consumption, while fully complying with current underground car park management regulations (PS2006).

The completed solution will use 60 detectors and control 20 motors. These range from 7.5kW to 55kW, with a control hierarchy incorporating 7 firefighter controls installed on the access ramps.

Given the amount of equipment to install and the tight deadlines, we recommended deploying our digital solution (MGM). It requires only one EolParc network cable between devices, providing the customer with a fast, cost-effective solution.
