Hesion is growing… again !
5 questions for Elodie, Sales Administration Manager

We are delighted to welcome Elodie TRESFIELD to the Hesion team as our new Sales Administration Manager. For the past eight years, Elodie has worked in sales administration and sales at Arcelor Mittal.
Elodie, can you tell us about your background ? I started my career more than 10 years ago through a work-study programme. After completing my BTS diploma in international trade and spending a year in London, I joined Arcelor Mittal in 2010, initially as a temporary employee for the first year before signing a permanent contract. Keen to complete my education, 8 months later I decided to continue studying through evening classes until I earned my master’s degree in business and marketing. In 2017, I left the steel industry and the team where I had learned the ropes and gained so much, both professionally and personally. That was also when I felt it was time to take a step back. I wanted to move towards roles that better matched my personality and ambitions, so I naturally gravitated towards positions with a stronger focus on customer relationship management.
Why did you decide to join us ? A desire for change and an interest in exploring new working environments motivated me to seek out new opportunities. I joined Hesion first and foremost because I identified with its values. I could also easily picture myself in the role, which was presented to me in a dynamic, motivating context. I felt aligned with the company’s development priorities: they matched my expectations, and I wanted to make a tangible contribution by putting my expertise to work. For me, it was an easy decision.

What do you think you can bring to the company ? Beyond my sales administration expertise, my interpersonal skills. I am a naturally positive person who cares about everyone’s well-being. Sharing is also very important to me. I like to contribute to my working environment every day to make it as pleasant as possible, and that is made much easier by finding these same qualities in every member of Hesion !

These qualities will help me share my knowledge and build synergy between departments, providing the resources and autonomy needed to deliver the best possible customer satisfaction.
What does a Sales Administration Manager do ? Sales administration is a cross-functional role that handles the administrative aspects of sales operations. At Hesion, it spans sales, management, production, maintenance and after-sales service. Its responsibilities include ensuring that all sales operations run smoothly, from order management and invoicing to coordinating departments and resolving disputes. The aim is to maximise customer satisfaction. As the function responsible for sales administration and financial processes, it also ensures compliance with payment deadlines and terms, and analyses the dashboards needed to monitor business activity.
Why do you think we needed a Sales Administration Manager ? Sales administration is essential in any sales-oriented business. When a fast-growing company like Hesion decides to expand internationally, it faces a wide range of challenges and specific requirements. Responsiveness, information flow and communication are all crucial. This role requires suitable communication tools and an appropriate methodology to validate each stage of the process: in short, the right foundations to manage the company’s order flow as effectively as possible. A dedicated structure was needed, and I believe that is exactly what Hesion required. In any case, I am confident that our collaboration will be productive.
All of us at Hesion are delighted to welcome you to the team.
